Random Days Since My B-Day
Since I walk around more than ever I convince myself I am in need of flats. (If you know me you know I like to compare my options. This means it takes me twice as long to make a purchase.) Well, one day I stumble into Zilian. Shoes here are really cute. I look at every boot and land my eyes on the pair pictured above. Half off!! Ohh yeah! I decide 69.99 is a really good deal. So after trying to talk myself out of it, I make the purchase (these boots must be special). Turns out I LOVE my boots. One problem, sometimes I forget to convert my money. Seems as though 69.99 Euros really ended up being a little over $90. (Re-doing my budget)

| Sad I ate my treat before getting home. |
Sundays here tend to be a little similar to those in Utah. Stores shut down. However, here, they all shut down and make people like me go crazy when I need something basic like milk.
About a week or so ago, Elise and I went to El Corte for groceries on a Sunday. Well, when we went again the following week we found out the hard way it was closed. On our way back home I approach a girl at the door of a pastry shop and ask what the deal is with Corte. I start speaking Spanish and struggle halfway with a word I had forgotten. She stares at me for a minute before speaking some Spanish. Then after I struggle with a few other words she asks if English would be easier. (She decides after all this time to speak English?) We begin speaking Spanglish and apparently Corte is only open the first Sunday of each month. (Why not every Sunday of each month?) She informed us of another place and we're about to part ways when I decide to try and befriend her. She seemed way cool so I figured I'd ask her if we could all hang out sometime (Elise is standing next to me as I speak to her). She says something about her being busy and having to work a lot (her english isn't the greatest). I'm confused at her answer and stare at her. Things get awkward and we say goodbye and part ways. Either 1. She didn't understand my question or 2. She awkwardly denied my real life friend request. Guys are definitely easier to befriend.
Anyway, we make it to the only store open on a Sunday and I get a treat (pictured above). It's literally the same size of the bag it's in. I start eating it as I pay for my stuff. We only live 2 blocks from the store and the picture above shows how much I had left upon returning home when I then inhaled the rest. The pastry was crispy with some sort of sugary/honey/deliciousness on top. I love this place.
VALENTINES DAY!!
The whole month is a party thanks to Southern Spain and the traditional festivities there.
At this point I still don't have a license so I have to use my passport for everything (annoying). Before we drive to Cats from my house I ask if I need to take my passport. They say no, because they never check for identification. Also, it's a Tuesday night so they won't care.
We drive across town and finally find a spot to park. We walk up to the bouncer only to find out he wants to see some ID's. (Come on guy!) After we talk to him and get frustrated we leave for my passport (ridiculous). The guys tell me they have NEVER been asked for ID's (not helping).
After driving back and forth we finally get in and I can enjoy my time. I dance like crazy! Adrian is also very good at dancing.
Can I stay here forever?
